The Remix

Remix

I am always trying to mix and remix media to create a different look. I am always look at how I can change things up, even if it is a small twist on a photo or taking a photo edit to the extreme, I will. The process it is not about trying to capture the perfect edit, it’s about getting out of your comfort zone.

Road Trip

I love taking small and simple road trips around the state. For a while, if I did not have my main camera with me, I would not take any photos and would just watch the world go by. More often than not, I use my cellphone to capture the small moments on the go. So go for the moments and capture the memories!

ATX Mornings

The thing I love about urban photography, there is always a new thing with the old thing. What I mean by that, if you take a picture of the same thing, it will always be different: the lighting, something on it, something in front of it, or the way you position yourself to it . I have taken this picture several times , but that light is amazing!

300 E.6th Street

I have an habit, like most photographers, when I am out taking photos, looking down and straight ahead. It often surprises me when I am not expecting anything, and I see the I dismissed earlier.

This was not a picture I was looking for, but the light and the sign itself made a great combination. The next time you are on the street, look up !

Love the light

Just a Sign of the mind.

While on a family vacation, I was like a kid in a candy shop, looking for images, in a new town. Of course my wife was “annoyed” that I was always stopping and looking “everything”. I am a big believer of “eye work”: capturing a picture with your mind, even if no camera is with you.

The thing with photography, it’s the small things that make the biggest improvements in your work. So when you do go somewhere special with your camera: the images and frames will seemly develop with ease.

Sign of Mind

Sometimes just wait.

Saw this spot a few months ago and just knew it had all the elements. SXSW was going on in town, so I just knew the opportunity to capture at least one good shot was on the table. I stayed in this spot for around forty-five minutes; before I captured this particular scene.

I took several shots this day, but this was my favorite one from the group. I normally don’t stay in one spot for long, but sometimes you just have to wait.
